Niiiiiice. I haven’t been in at least 10 years. Was hoping to visit during my planned trip to Asheville in September...but that probably isn’t happening at this point. :(

Is it worth the drive? It looks to be like a 8-9 hour drive from my house and I know many people come from farther that to visit.

I read that sometimes you can just get unlucky and get their when it’s jam packed and go at a snail’s pace below the speed limit.

I drove down from Cleveland-ish a couple years ago. It was cool, but man that’s a long drive to get there. In the day and a half I spent in the area, traffic varied wildly. Sometimes you were behind a large truck doing 15mph the whole way, other times people on bikes were blasting past you at probably 60mph.
